Can I purchase domestic package insurance if I’m renting a house?

Domestic package insurance provides financial protection against loss
or destruction of your possessions when you rent a house or apartment.
The landlord may be sympathetic if your house is burgled or a fire from
your iron box destroys your property. However, destruction or loss of your
possessions is not usually covered by your landlord’s insurance.
